Conference Documentation: Cocoa production in times of climate crisis
The participants of the conference tried to explore what is known about climate change, consequences of climate change for the cocoa sector and potential ways to adapt to or to mitigate the developments. As climate change is reinforced by deforestation. Reforestation might be a way to reduce the consequences of the changes in the climate. For this reason, cultivation practices and specifically agroforestry systems were also important subjects discussed at the conference.
The conference was held from 31st May - 1st June 2022 by Chocolate Museum Cologne, GIZ, SÜDWIND e.V.
